To come along to our 'Local Patch' walks and events:
Improve your fitness, meet friendly, like-minded people in the Sherburn in Elmet area, while learning more about birds and wildlife.
Walks to suit all abilities and open to non members of the RSPB. Accompanied children welcome

About the Group

Run by volunteers, you can be as involved as much or as little as you like. you can just take part in the events program or help with the running of the group. Whatever you do, will be helping make a real difference to conservation in the UK

Events for 2008:-
Sunday 24th February - Sherburn Willows Reserve. Meet at South Milford railway station carpark. 10am. Binoculars and boots/wellies advised.

Sunday 30th March - Delights of Bishops Wood. Meet at Dutchmans Car Park at 1pm. (Walk off that Sunday Lunch!).·

Sunday 27th April - Saxton/Towton to Hazelwood (Details to be confirmed)·

Sunday 1st June - Sherburn Willows revisited. Breeding Birds and Wildflowers galore. Meet at South Milford Railway Station Car Park at 9am·

Sunday 29th June - Red Kite Walk, Eccup/Harewood. (Details to be confirmed)·

Sunday 27th July - A summer stroll along the River Wharfe from Kirkby Wharfe. (Details to be confirmed)·
Sunday 31st August - Visit to Fairburn Ings. (Details to be confirmed)

There are also plans for visits to Fairburn Ings and other RSPB reserves in the area.
