One of the oldest residents of South Milford, Blanche Betts - or Nan as she preferred to be called - died shortly before Christmas 2006 aged 101. She would have reached the great age of 102 in January. Blanche Miller (as she then was) was born in Leeds in 1905 and married Don Betts in 1926.
